POOL
A
key part of any holiday, and one which should provide hours of enjoyment
and memories, we have effectively sought to make the pool area an extension
of the interior living space - after all, we are sure that you will
want to spend as much time as possible out here.
Acting on our own experiences (and the best advice of those in the know)
we steered clear of pool gimmicks such as waterfalls and spray jets
as their initial novelty value wears off after a day or two. Instead
we chose to concentrate on the things that would provide tangible and
lasting enjoyment and pleasure.
In addition to the beautiful heated pool (heating is an extra cost but
is recommended for the winter months) with its multi-coloured fibre-optic
lighting, there is a programmable spa/jacuzzi and an enormous expanse
of decking - so avoiding the splashing kids is easy! There is ample
space to enjoy the sunshine, but also plenty of shade if it all gets
too much. There is even an overhead fan in the shaded area to provide
extra comfort on the hottest of days.
The
lanai (screen) provides protection from the intrusion of unwanted insects
and leaves etc and the whole external perimeter of the back garden has
been planted with palms and hedging to guarantee you complete privacy.
There is even a pool bathroom (wc and sink) so that nobody has to worry
about going back into the villa whilst dripping wet.
The top quality, heavy-duty patio furniture is plentiful, versatile
and extremely comfortable, with thick padded cushions. There are four
sun loungers, four recliners with footstools, side tables and a parasol.
For your al fresco dining there are two large dining tables and eight
chairs - all with the same thick, padded cushions. Ample luxury pool
towels are also provided.
The
complimentary gas barbecue has to be seen to be believed (who needs
a kitchen anyway) and comes complete with a full range of barbecue accessories
including a cookbook for added inspiration. There is also a wide range
of quality plastic tableware available so that crockery and glass (which
have no place around a pool) do not need to be used outside.
Also, to keep the kids (and adults) amused, a good selection of pool
toys is provided for your enjoyment. From flotation aids to Super Soaker
water pistols and diving toys to inflatables, there should be more than
enough here to make pool time play time.
